How do I add a word?
Tap the + button and type a word. You can add a definition yourself, or tap auto-fill (Pro) to pull the definition, part of speech, and pronunciation from the built-in dictionary — no typing, no network.
How do I put a word on my Home or Lock Screen?
Long-press your Home Screen (or the Lock Screen while editing it), tap + / Add Widgets, search for LexWidget, and pick a size. The widget rotates through your words on its own.
My widget isn’t changing.
LexWidget rotates on a schedule you set in Settings → Interval. iOS also decides exactly when to refresh widgets to save battery, so changes can lag by a few minutes. Make sure the deck you want is active (Settings → Active decks) — widgets only draw from active decks.
Can a widget show just one deck?
Yes (Pro). Long-press the widget → Edit Widget → choose a deck and its own interval.
Beyond typing, you can paste a list, import a CSV, Excel, or PDF file (Pro), or share selected text from any app straight into a new word (Pro). Every import shows a confirmation screen before anything is saved — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
What does Pro unlock?
Unlimited words and decks, file import, the share extension, auto-fill, hear-it, export, per-deck widgets, deck colours & focus, all widget themes, and the Apple Watch app. It’s a one-time purchase — no subscription.
I bought Pro on another device / reinstalled.
Open Settings → Restore purchases. Pro is tied to your Apple Account, so it restores for free.
Your words sync across your own devices through your iCloud account. If you’re not signed into iCloud, the app works fully on-device. LexWidget collects no data — the App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.” See the privacy policy.
With Pro, the current word appears on your watch face complications and in the Smart Stack, synced quietly over iCloud. It updates on the same rotation as your phone.
